Fullmetal Alchemist Director Working On Netflix's Original Anime Eden

On Sunday, Netflix announced a new anime which is currently in production. This new anime is titled Eden and will be a four-episode series directed by Yasuhiro Irie (who also previously directed the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood). The anime is slated to premiere in 2020.

The anime is directed by Yasuhiro Irie, with Justin Leach producing the series at Qubic Pictures and CGCG. Kimiko Ueno is in charge of screenwriting, Toshihiro Kawamoto and Christophe Ferreria are handling character designs, and Kevin Penkin is composing the music for the series.

Netflix describes the anime as:

“The upcoming sci-fi fantasy series Eden is set thousands of years in the future, where a city known as ‘Eden 3’ is inhabited solely by robots whose former masters vanished a long time ago. On a routine assignment, two farming robots accidentally awaken a human baby girl from stasis questioning all they were taught to believe — that humans were nothing more than a forbidden ancient myth. Together, the two robots secretly raise the child in a safe haven outside Eden.”
