Over ten thousand players have logged in to play the massive online role-playing game called Sword Art Online. The game uses the state of art technology called NerveGear, which allows the player to control the game character using only their thoughts. The world of SAO, Aincrad, has a full-on fantasy medieval world, weapons, and dangerous monsters. Kazuto Kirigaya, nicknamed Kirito, is one such player of the game who is exploring the fantasy world of SAO.

But soon, all the fun and game ends when the creator of SAO appears in front of all players. He reveals that all players are now trapped inside his game. The logout button has now been disabled for them. The only way out is by clearing all the levels of the Aincrad. At first, she was reluctant to live at the shrine, but without any other option, she starts her new life as the shrine god.
