86 is a mecha series with a complex take on several real-world topics, ranging from racism to military dominance. As a mecha military series, the conflict heavily influences the direction of the series, and you can expect some epic mecha battles and intense story happenings. Unfortunately, while it has a reasonable and decent plot, it suffers a bit from pacing and short mecha fights.
Synopsis: In a war between The Republic of San Magnolia and the Empire of Giad, The Republic has been at a disadvantage for many years due to their neighboring country’s army of unmanned drones known as the Legion. To fight against them, The Republic has developed its autonomous drones, called Juggernauts, which operate by Handler commands. While to the people of The Republic, it looks like the war is being fought between machines with no human casualties. In truth, these drones are piloted by humans branded as Eighty-Six. One girl, Major Vladilena Milizé, who knows the truth about Eighty-Six, is on a mission to stop this unfairness from happening to them.
