Being an action VRMMO anime, Full Dive: The Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! isn’t exactly what any fan of the genre wants. Other than obvious Virtual RPG-genic appeal, absolutely nothing else about the series would appeal to RPG anime fans. Especially if you are looking for intense action with an overarching plot from start to finish, Full Dive is one to pass. That isn’t to say it a bad anime; Full Dive ensures that most of the elements of the games are introduced at appropriate times.
Synopsis: In the 21st century, the world has seen a prominent rise in VRMMO creation. One company managed to create a piece of work, which no one has ever done before. “Kiwame Quest” a game that claims to pursue utmost realism. Be it NPC with human-like characteristics, insane graphics, or replication of all five senses. However, soon after its release, people stopped playing the game due to it being too realistic. Ten years later, Hiroshi Yuuki, a high school student, gets tricked into buying Kiwame Quest by a beautiful game store manager. But when he gives it a try, he soon learned it was his biggest mistake.
While the premise and execution of the series are kept simple and enjoyable, one individual flaw that exists in Full Dive is its inserting of humor during serious scenes, which results in jarring or ruining the impact of the serious part.
