Tamako Market is a slice of life comedy anime by Studio Kyoto Animation. The anime is an original series directed by Naoko Yamada.

Synopsis: Tamako Kitashirakawa is a cheerful girl and the eldest daughter of a mochi seller that runs the Tama-ya mochi shop in the Usagiyama Shopping District. She lives an ordinary life like going to school, enjoys her time with the people of the Shopping District and her friends.

One day, she meets a talking bird who calls himself Dera Mochimazzi. He introduces himself as royalty from a distant land and is on a mission to find a bride for his country’s prince. The series follows Tamako’s everyday life with her friends, family, and the freeloading bird she took in.
