Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is school romance comedy anime series directed by Tatsuya Ishihara and produced by Kyoto Animation. The anime is based on popular light novel series written by Torako with illustrations provided by Nozomi Ousaka.
The story follows Yuuta Togashi who in his junior high school, suffered from chuunibyou . It is a phase where usually teens have delusions of grandeur. Some teens even convince themselves that they have hidden knowledge or secret powers. During his chuunibyou phase, Yuuta uses to call himself the “Dark Flame Master” hence distancing himself from his classmates.
After moving to a new place, Yuta attempts to begin high school where he does not know anyone leaving past his old delusions. But to his surprise, a classmate named Rikka Takanashi who is still in her chuunibyou phase learns about Yuuta’s past and becomes interested in him.
