04. Sankarea: Undying Love
Chihiro Furuya, a teenage high schooler, has an obsession for the undead and likes to collect everything related to zombies. He even desires to kiss a zombie girl. One day Chihiro’s cat named Babu dies, he begins the process of creating a potion of resurrection using a book he found.
In the midst, he encounters Rea Sanka, who is thinking of committing suicide to escape from her predicament. Rea steals the potion meant for Babu and drinks a sample. After that, she falls from a cliff by accident and dies and thus becomes a zombie. The story follows the life of Chihiro and several situations following Rea Sanka as his new zombie girlfriend.
05. Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi (Sunday Without God)
God abandoned the world fifteen years ago. Which naturally left some adverse side-effects. New humans can no longer be born, and the dead can no longer die. Which means that if a human dies, they are not dead. The deads continue to exist as an average human, but they can never be at peace.
However, before abandoning the world, God appointed “grave keepers” and give them the ability to give rest to the living dead. So they can truly die and be at peace. Ai is one of these grave keepers who live in a world without God and is striving to find her purpose in life.
06. Koutetsujou no Kabaneri (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress)
During the industrial revolution, a mysterious virus appears and rapidly causes a zombie outbreak which turns humans into Kabane and forces human settlements inside massive walls. The only means of transportation are massive, armored trains. Kabane can be killed by destroying its glowing iron-coated heart. But if a human gets bitten by a Kabane, then they are doomed to turn into Kabane themselves.
One day, a Kabane infiltrated train crashes into the city. Ikoma, who works as an engineer in the train station, was working on his gun to eradicate the Kabane. Ikoma sees this as a big chance to test his weapon, but unfortunately gets bitten in the process. He somehow manages to stop the virus and becomes half-human half Kabane called Kabaneri. Only the future knows what fate lies ahead for Ikoma in his current form.
07. Shikabane Hime: Aka (Corpse Princess: Aka)
If someone dies with strong feelings or regrets about the world, they become Shikabane, also known as undead. The existence of Shikabane is kept a secret from the people, and the people capable of exterminating them are Buddhists from Kougun Sect. Every priest has their Shikabane known as Shikabane Hime whose job is to guard the priest and kill off other Shikabane.
After being brutally murdered along with her family, Makina Hoshimura is now a Shikabane Hime contracted to Keisei Tagami, a Buddhist monk from Kougun Sect. Keisei’s younger brother Ouri after meeting Makina stumbles into a secret that Kesei has desperately tried to hide from him which leads to Ouri dragged into the world of the Shikabanes.
08. Highschool of the Dead
The world was suddenly thrown into a deadly pandemic which turns humans into zombies. The outbreak reaches Takashi Kimuro’s high school, where he had to kill his best friend, who was turning into a zombie. Takashi’s makes the final promise of helping his friend’s girlfriend and leaves the school.
On the way out, Takashi meets other student and the school nurse who venture out to find their family members and uncover what caused the zombie apocalypse. But what awaits them is the fallen society and dangerous fellow survivors.

Michiru Kita is a normal high school girl with a strange ability named Shinigami eyes that allows her to see dark rings on the necks of people who are about to die. The blacker the rings are, the closer they are to death, and once it’s entirely black, the person dies.
One day, she notices that two students from her school have black rings around their necks but are still not dead. Later, she discovers that the two, Chika Akatsuki and Shito Tachibana are zombies who took a Zombie-Loan. They pay off their zombie loans by working as zombie hunters. Chika and Shito ask Michiru to help them hunt zombies and convinces her to join them.
