He is the founder of the so-called Future Gadget Laboratory. One day, they accidentally develop a time machine out of a microwave named Mobile Microwave.

The Mobile Microwave is capable of sending text messages to the past. However, Okabe and his friends soon learn that a secret organization called SERN has been researching time travel for some time now. SERN learns about Mobile Microwave and is now after them. Now, Okabe and his associates must use their knowledge to stop the secret organization’s possible hidden agenda.

Similarities: Steins;Gate is more of a sci-fi compared to Re:Zero’s, which is fantasy. But both series are similar as the main characters have something to do with traveling back in time to protect those they care about the most.

Similarities: The Erased anime sets in modern time rather than the fantasy one. The only similarity in both anime is that both main characters try to change the sad past and make things right with their time-traveling ability.
