Kodansha’s latest fantasy Isekai series “Reincarnated to Slime.” Written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah is getting TV anime adaptation for this fall. One of Seibundo’s bookstores announced this on Twitter account on Tuesday. The TV anime adaptation of Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as Slime) will air in Fall 2018. It was also announced in the 12th volume of the light novel series.

Yasuhito Kikuchi is directing the series at Studio 8-Bit. Atsushi Nakayama is working as an assistant director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handles series composition. Ebata Ryouma is in charge of character designs. More details to be announced at a later date.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken Plot:
After being killed by a passing robber. An average 37-year-old guy finds himself reincarnated in another world. As a blind slime with unique skills. With a new name “Rimuru Tempest” he got after meeting his new friend. His new friend is a “catastrophe level” Storm Dragon Verudora. Now Rimuru starts his slime life in another world with his increasing number of minions.
Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken (That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime) is a Japanese light novel series. Written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It was first serialized online between 2013 and 2016. On the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Micro Magazine later acquired the title and published the first light novel volume in 2014. The light novel has compiled into eleven volumes as of March 2018. Yen Press has licensed the light novel for North America release. Yen Press published Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken in English as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime under the Yen On imprint. The first volume was released in December 2017.
A manga adaptation with art by Taiki Kawakami. Started serializing in Kodansha’s Monthly Shōnen Sirius since 2015. The manga is collected in six tankōbon volumes. Kodansha Comics USA released the English version of the manga. A second manga series titled That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: How Monsters Walk. With art by Shō Okagiri, is available online since 2016 via Micro Magazine’s Comic Ride website. The second manga is collected in two tankōbon volumes.
