On Monday, the official website for Food Wars! Season 3 The Third Plate revealed that this season would resume from where it left. And Food Wars! Season 3-second cour will premiere on April 8, 2018.
The second cour will have the same staffs as before. Yoshitomo Yonetani is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. Shogo Yasukawa handles series scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya is in charge of character designs. Tatsuya Katou is composing the soundtracks. Luck Life is performing the new opening theme song “Symbol.” Fo’xTails is delivering the new ending theme song.

The first cour titled as Shokugeki no Souma: San no Sara aired on October 3. It focused on Soma as he faces the Tōtsuki’s Elite Ten. The second cour titled Shokugeki no Souma: “Totsuki Ressha Hen” (“Totsuki Train Arc”) arc. Focuses on the new administration at Tōtsuki Culinary Academy as a result of Azami Nakiri becoming its new Headmaster.

Yukihira Soma had been polishing his cooking skills while helping at his family’s dinner and one day, enters the elite cooking school, Tōtsuki Teahouse Culinary Academy. Soma met various other chefs at the academy and as he grew, he started searching for his own way of cooking. With the curriculum that required the students to go help out at actual restaurants, Soma gained even more experience. With that, he was able to break through his old self and break through to a whole new taste for his dishes.
He successfully completes his curriculum and grew even more. After his training in the actual restaurant, Soma finally sees the top of Totsuki academy, the Totsuki Elite Ten at the Momiji Meet and Greet and challenges them. The venue that was decided for Soma and the Elite Ten to battle was the Totsuki school festival, the Moon Festival. What will Soma make happen at this monster event that brings in 500,000 ever year Meanwhile, someone’s plan is coming together in the shadows. Soma’s new battle was about to begin!
The manga began as a one-shot in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump in April 2012 and then began as a series in November 2012. The first tankōbon volume was published on April 4, 2013. Studio J.C.Staff has adapted Shokugeki no Souma into two TV anime seasons with the first airing in Spring 2015 for a total of 24 episodes and the second in Summer 2016 for 13 episodes. A third season, referred to as Food Wars! The Third Plate began airing on October 4, 2017, as the first cour of the third season.
